Rev. Jackson Kariuki, Program Director

What year you started with IBN

After leading an IBN mission team to Africa in 2000, I eventually came on aboard as an employee in spring 2001.

Favorite Scripture to live by:

“…Remember that at that time you were separate from Christ, excluded from … the covenants of the promise, without hope and without God in the world. But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far away have been brought near through the blood of Christ” (Eph 2:12-13).

Family Status:

Happily enjoying a covenant marriage relationship with Liz Kariuki since 1991. We are blessed with two wonderful children (Maina and Jeremy).

Good Advice: Life is a one way ticket; every moment is an eternity in small proportions of seconds, minutes, hours, days etc.  Seize the moment; you will not pass this way again.

Pet Peeve(s): Ignorance, Abuse, Waste, and Selfishness.

Favorite music group(s): Anything by Selah, most of David Phelps, and Michael English (I bowed on my knees).

Favorite TV show(s): House, Monday night Football, World News.

Favorite Food(s): Goat meat, collard greens and ugali (Kenyan Cornmeal)

Favorite Hobbies(s): Travel, Biking Riding, Camping, and Academic Research.

Favorite Vehicle(s) you would like to own: Any as long as it’s paid for. A Lexus 430 would be a special treat.

Three items/gadgets you would not want to be without:

My Bible, Cell phone, and a portable GPS navigator.
